A two-door coupe is one of the three body styles available on the 2019 Honda Civic, which is one of the entries in the best-selling nameplate’s tenth production cycle. You can get a Honda Civic coupe as an LX, a Sport (new for this model year), an EX, and a Touring.
For the 2019 model year, the Sport trim—which used to be exclusive to the hatchback bodystyle—joins the base-level LX in being powered by a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder (I4) engine with 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. On the EX and Touring trims, Honda installs a 1.5-liter turbocharged I4, which produces 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. However, since you can go with a 6-speed manual transmission instead of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) on the EX, torque is increased to 167 lb-ft if you go with that choice. To attain the top fuel economy of 31 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway on the 2019 Honda Civic Coupe, go with an EX that has its 1.5-liter turbo I4 hitched to the CVT. For 2019, the front bumper of the Civic is restyled to enforce its racing-style vibe, which is characterized by sharp edges, projector-beam halogen headlights, taillights with integrated light bars, and a body-colored roofline spoiler. Fog lights make an appearance if you upgrade to the Sport or higher, and a fin-type roof-mounted antenna and a one-touch power moonroof with tilt feature debut on the EX trim level. Only the Touring has chrome-finished door handles (instead of body-color ones) and turn-signal indicators integrated into the power side mirrors, and only the Sport has its exhaust outlet centered (rather than placed to one side).
Standard safety features on the 2019 Honda Civic Coupe include six airbags, hill start assist, a driver- and front-passenger seat-belt reminder, vehicle stability assist with traction control, all-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, a multi-angle rearview camera, LED daytime running lights, Honda Sensing (which combines adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, collision mitigation braking, and road departure mitigation), and a theft-deterrent system (which combines engine immobilization, remote keyless entry, and trunk release ability). Honda LaneWatch, which expands the driver’s side horizon, is added on the EX and Touring. Regarding entertainment, the 2019 Civic Coupe starts with features such as a four-speaker 160-watt system, a 5-inch color screen, Bluetooth wireless technology for audio streaming, and a USB port for playing media from your mobile device. Enhancements or additions such as a 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink remote connectivity, smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio service, HD Radio, hands-free text messaging ability, and an additional USB port appear if you upgrade to the Sport or higher. The EX and Touring stand apart from the lower-level trims with their 10-speaker 450-watt stereo system. Only the Touring has a voice-recognition satellite-linked navigation system. For 2019, the 7-inch infotainment upgrade comes with a volume knob.
